Under Governor Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo, Kaduna state is

irrespective of ones religious beliefs, ethnicity,

Namadi Sambo's policy thrust on various issues continue to
be guided by these objectives: Good Governance integrity
and transparency in the conduct of public Affairs. There
is also the commitment to Justice, the rule of law and a
sustainable development through sound education, basic
health care, improved infrastructural facilities and rapid
industrial growth; with the base-focus being: Security,
Energy, Agriculture, and e-Governance.

Kaduna State is essentially an agrarian
society which has the potentials to grow a diverse variety
of crops both arable and tree. It also has potentials for
the Livestock Industry and fisheries considering its
endowments with both natural water bodies and dams. The
state has a total land area of about 4.4m. hectares out of
which about 2.0m hectares is arable land, with population
of over 6million (2007 Census) made up of 450,
170 farming families. Governor Namadi Sambo is
restructuring the Agriculture Sector to meet international
standard with support to rural farmers and attract
investments to the state.
