GOVERNOR NAMADI SAMBO'S ACHIEVEMENTS

Bringing trust and transparency in Governance. Governor Arc. Mohammed Namadi Sambo is reinventing the act of Governance with his Visionary leadership style and building confidence in government and his administration in line with World's Best Practices.

There is no single community in the state that is not benefitting from the goodwill of Namadi's administration. Projects ranging from roads network,  health care re-delivery. Infrastructure  facilities, promotion of rapid industrial  growth, improved  agricultural output, poverty alleviation as well as the restoration of peace and stability and eGovernance in the state are all been taking into consideration. Also it is to be noted that Namadi's administration has set the track record of giving socio-cultural independence to the various communities in the state through the creation of more structured act of Governance

One of the challenges of the present administration since inception was the deplorable state of education at all levels. Not only were available infrastructure inadequate, but many were dilapidated . The administration also felt that there was need to restructure the management post primary schools in particular to  bring about educational development and the new administration appointed a committee of renown educationist to recommend measures to address the management problems of the educational system. Government policy thrust on education was the involvement of all stakeholders in the educational development in the state. The Government also embarked on its campaign promises of free and compulsory primary education, including massive teacher training and complete overhaul of the schools and the introduction of computer literacy and capacity building. Governor Namadi Sambo is transforming the educational sector and upgrading schools infrastructure.

Governor Namadi Sambo, in order to bring sanity and transparency in Governance, he created the office of the Due Process, which is in line with the world economy and transparency and it is already delivering dividends of democracy and transparency in the procurement and in the award of contract.

It was an epoch making event, when at its inception in May 29, 2007 , this Administration chose to create additional Ministries and streamlining existing ones to essentially coordinate all known environmental issues, security protection, better administration and natural resources conservation efforts that would be geared towards the enhanced and sustainable development of Kaduna State.

SECURITY  AND LEADERSHIP

Kaduna state under the leadership of Arch Namadi Sambo is working very hard to establish the economic backbone and build foundation for effective economic development throughout the state. Kaduna is regarded as the political barometer of the country and is been looked at as a pace setter in the northern states. The issue of Security is at the top-most heart of Namadi's administration. The success of Operation Yaki in the state clearly shows the government's commitment to peace and Security.

Kaduna State is essentially an agrarian society which has the potentials to grow a diverse variety of crops both arable and tree. It also has potentials for the Livestock Industry and fisheries considering its endowments with both natural water bodies and dams. The state has a total land area of about 4.4m. hectares out of which about 2.0m hectares is arable land, with population of over 6million (2007 Census) made up of 450, 170 farming families. Governor Namadi Sambo is restructuring the Agriculture Sector to meet international standard with support to rural farmers and attract investments to the state.
