WEDDING CEREMONY OF MISS ROSE YAKOWA AND DR MICHAEL OKOH - (The Galazy Park traditional sendforth and the International Trade Fair Complex Reception)

 

The grandeur Wedding Ceremony of the Deputy Governor of Kaduna state Mr Patrick Yakowa's Daughter Miss Rose Yakowa and Dr  MICHAEL OKOH, the son of Late Pa Paul Okoh took place May 16, 2008, first at Our Lady of Apostles Catholic Church located at the Independence Way, kaduna at 12:00 noon with Officiating Priests in the persons of Very Rev. Fr. Mathew Hassan Kukah and Very Rev. Fr. Augustine Madaki, followed by a send forth reception at the Galazy Park opposite Government House, Kaduna. Among the Distinguished Guest present were Rose's father Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, the Head of Service of Kaduna Abubakar Mustafa who represented His Excellency Gov. Arc. Namadi Sambo, General Ishaya Bakut who was the Chairman of the occasion, the Governor of Plateau State, Gov Jang and his wife, the Chief of Staff of Kaduna Audie Mohammed, the Kaduna SSG, all Hon. Commissioners, all Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants. Among the Dignitaries included the wife of Governor of Kaduna state Amina namadi Sambo, Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar, Mrs Buba Marwa, Mrs Hassan Hyat, and many others.

"Rose our second child and daughter will be missed greatly at home. She ignites the home with her vibrancy, commitment to helping others and truly a daughter of unity. Her departure will create a vacuum in our house but she will go and fill another in Edo state. We will learn to deal with it because that is the way it is suppose to be, and we thank God and seek his everlasting blessing to bless them. Rose is sociable, hardworking, friendly, smart, and respectful, I am sure Michael will find a wonderful wife in her. It is union like this that helps to unite the Country and solidify our relationships in the country and I am sure Mike & Rose wedding will go along way in unifying the people of Kaduna state and indeed Nigeria" said Patrick Yakowa, the Deputy Governor.

 

The families and friends of the Okoh's family also grace the occasion with the wonderful presentation of Proposal by the Okoh's family, a traditional apelike that electrified the event.

 

The  Event finally moved on May 17, 2008 (Saturday) at the International Trade Fair Complex for the Wedding Reception which, with His Excellency the Executive Governor of Kaduna Sate Gov. Arc. Namadi Sambo and his wife blessing the occasion personally, including almost all members of his cabinet, former President Abubakar Abdulsalam, Ministers and many others.


Deputy Governor Patrick Yakowa reached the pinnacle of his administrative career when he was appointed Permanent Secretary in the service of Kaduna State and served in the Ministries of Health, Works and Transport before transferring to the Federal Civil Service in 1990. At the request of the Military Administration of 1994-1997 he served as Commissioner in the State. On return to the Federal Service from the State assignment, he was appointed Director Joint Services Ministry of Defense February 1997 – August 1998. READ MORE>>
