In line with his promises to the good people of Kaduna state, the Executive Governor of Kaduna state Arc Namadi Sambo speaking through the Commissioner of Science and Technology Dr Mohammed Sani Bello offers all BATC students monthly stipend and subsidizes by 50% meals in all secondary schools and colleges in line with his 11 - Agenda. This is communicated during the one week tour throughout the state by the Honourable Commissioner of Science & Tech, Dr Mohammed Sani Bello and his entourage to all schools, BATCs and Parastatals.

 

The Hon Commissioner was accompanied by the Special Adviser to the Governor on ICT Dr Engr. Baba Jibrin Adamu, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education Mr Mathew Gwazah, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor Ms Umma Jaja, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Science and Tech Salisu Haladu, Director ICT Mr Dauda Joseph and others.

The Commissioner of Science and Technology Dr Mohammed Sani Bello in his statement during the tour reiterated Gov Arc Namadi Sambo's commitment to providing quality education throughout the state while addressing the issue of poverty through empowering the youth, women and children through the Business Apprentice Training Centre (BATC). " Gov Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo through  his 11 - Point Agenda is transforming public education system in the state as well as encouraging the student directly" To improve Science and Technology in the state, the Governor is providing necessary infrastructure and creating enabling environment.

Governor Arc Namadi Sambo knows that information is power, science and ICT are tools for empowerment and being passionate about using ICT and e-Governance to move the state forward and knowing that ICT will soon be integrated with the schools curriculum (already is at NABTEC) he has giving instruction to assess the e-readiness of all the commercial schools, Science schools, the state polytechnics and at all the LGA. Kaduna is exploring ways to boost computer education throughout the state with an elaborate ICT Roadmap Action Plan to support the 11 -Point Agenda of the Governor, and meet the 2020 Vision in line with President Yar'adua 7 Point Agenda.

The Schools, BATCs and other Parastatal visited by the Hon. Commissioner of Science and Technology Dr Mohammed Sani Bello and his entourage are:

Governor Arch Mohammed Namadi Sambo is a true democrat, whose approach to problems is always humane and conciliatory he is a man of peace who patiently looked to the future with courage and hope. His commitment in the direction of transforming the state into a relatively better integrated and functional polity is continuing  with a mission  to create a stable  and cohesive polity capable of securing effectively the interests of the various communities and giving them the opportunity to develop and live in peace  with one another.
