TRANSFORMATION IN
KADUNA: INTRA & INTER CITY MASS TRANSIT TRAIN SERVICE

Under the leadership of Arc
Namadi Sambo, the Commissioner of Inter-governmental
affairs was given the mandate to, in partnership with the
Railway Corporation, to resuscitate train services in Kaduna state and create Mass transit train (MTT), and
Inter-City Train as the first phase.
Exactly one year after coming
into office, Intra-city Train (MTT) now runs in Kaduna
town with halt stations at: Sabo/Deeper Life, Television
Garage, St. Gerald, Sardauna Crescent, Central Market,
Abakpa, NDC, Kawo and block station such as at Rigachikun,
Tsanin Kura, Kaduna Junction and Kaduna North.
At the cost of N65 million to
rehabilitate rail service and take off funds, the
Intra-city MTT will be expanding to cover more areas in
the state.
